How has Oakcliff helped you in my development:
After graduating from the University of Virginia, I was unsure of the role that competitive sailing could play in my future. Finding Oakcliff and joining the 2012 Sapling class quickly presented many different options. I learned the ins and outs of match racing from some of the world's best match racers. I gained experience with logistics, sail repair, general boat maintenance, team management, event planning, media, and - of course - high level racing. All of the skills I learned and experience I gained while at Oakcliff have proven to be strong building blocks, upon which I have continued growing into the sailor I ultimately want to be.
